A Work in Progress...

This fall we kept finding puddles of water in our garage...always in the same spot and usually around the same time of day. After about a week (or more) of blaming it on the poor dog's bladder (sorry Ringo), we came to the realization that our shower had sprung a leak. Instead of taking out the existing tile, fixing the leak, and then replacing the tile, we decided to replace the entire shower and while we are at it (and when I say we I don't mean me...we're talkin' Jason and my dad) let's rip out the soaking tub, enlarge the shower, remove the floor, create a get ready area for Stacey where the old tub used to be, and replace the vanities and sink. In the end all that will be original will be the toilet. The progress is moving a little slower than I had originally anticipated...they build a whole house in one week on Extreme Home Makeover, but apparently they don't have other jobs and kids and life!

Old shower after being removed...
Lena and Annika in the new shower (we hired out this work of art)...
New shower awaiting glass and fixtures (submit your choice now for paint color...if you don't vote you can't complain!)...
On the next episode of "As the Bathroom Changes"...Jason chips away the old marble floor and hopes not to lodge a piece in his eye.

Good work Andrew. Maybe Jason could wear a patch over one eye to reduce his risk. He could switch it back and forth, but at least still see the floor.
