The Sweetest of Weekends...

This long weekend started off with a bang. The girls got home from school with their bags overflowing with Valentines and candy. It was fun to go through all the tiny little cards and read the names. On Saturday we feasted on heart shaped pancakes and headed up to Port Townsend. It is in the top five of our favorite towns of all time. We walked along the beach collecting shells and rocks, headed downtown for a little window shopping and ice cream, and capped off the full day with some of the yummiest Thai food ever!

Today (Sunday) Jason woke with the sun and he and Ringo headed off for a mountain hike. Ringo was the chosen dog because he is younger and he can hear...Lobo is pretty much stone deaf and he is too much a wild card to take into the wilderness. While they were gone I tackled cleaning and organizing the office. I sent two shopping bags full to the recycle bin and one garbage bag full to the trash. Now if only I could conquer my little mess makers...a mother can dream, can't she?!

Tomorrow Lena is throwing a Post-Valentine's Day Party. She has made invitations and we are going to go over the menu this evening. We'll see what she has up her sleeve!

Ever the dedicated ice cream eaters...wearing gloves and winter coats...
Our favorite little Thai food joint...The Banana Leaf...
Jason's hike was met with blue skies...
What's that I hear? We made it to the top?! Wowie, wow, wow, wow!!
