Like A Rock Star...

It happened my friends. We went to Bon Jovi. We saw. We survived. It was a fun night...a fun night had by all. All those over 40 years old that is. When we got to the concert Jason looked around and said in his best The Sixth Sense voice, "I see old people". Lest I remind him he is not that far off from the Bon Jovi-loving age bracket. Bon Jovi even sold a t-shirt that said "My mom went to Bon Jovi and never came home". It was great people watching. Black boot wearing ladies love Jon. The cougars love Jon. The roid-raging 20 something guys trying to bag cougars love Jon. Women with fake boobies and even faker hair love Jon. They were all in agreement (myself included)...Jon is dreamy.

Now on to the show itself. It was good...very entertaining...long (they played for 2 hours)...but (there is always a but), I understand that you are promoting a new album and all...but I don't want to hear it! I don't care that you have 7 new songs...I don't want to hear them. To paraphrase the very funny Greg Behrendt , "I need an adult rock show...starts at 7pm...no young punks...band plays one hour...no opening band...play the songs we came to hear...home by 9pm...I have a date with pajamas and a couch...let's go!"

And so it begins...
Mama is ready to rock...
Yeah...I don't think anyone is really trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes here. Did you look at the crowd on hand?
I see you Jon. I see you with my binoculars. Girls with binoculars are very popular with all their surrounding seatmates. At least that's what I was telling myself...
Oh look...Jon sees me too. "Hi Stacey! I thought that was you up there"...
After the concert I was ready to keep the party going. I really wanted to go downtown, but first we had to stop at the grocery store and get Jason a sandwich (he's cra-a-zy) and then he talked me into not going downtown, but going one block away to the dueling piano bar. Which turned out to be a ton of fun. So much fun we stayed until 1:30am. Talk about cra-a-zy!!
Look we bought a test tube shot. From a shot girl. How Spring Break '98 of us...
Sunday morning I was thankful for two things. One: I have such an awesome hubby that will show me such an awesome time and Two: We have such an awesome family that will take the girls overnight and we can sleep in until 9:30am, because come morning mama wasn't so cra-a-zy anymore!
