It's that time of year again...tree hunting day!! This year we opted for a farm in our area that we hadn't ever been to before and it was nice nice nice. The trees were all perfect looking and varied. Plus it was a gorgeous sunny day with blue skies. Which always makes hunting better. We've hunted in the rain and believe you me...it's not all it's cracked up to be. Let the fun begin!
The girls dash off in search of the perfect tree...
And they found it...We each took a turn with the saw...
Back at home we started putting up the ornaments only to find that the tree was quite spiky. Like so spiky you needed to wear gloves. So very quickly I became the designated decorator while Lena handed me the ornaments and Annika sat back letting me know if I did a good job or not! We also have a tradition that we hold out our "baby" ornament...the first one that we received as a child...and put it on last right before the star. Though a little tread bare, mine is still hanging in there after 35 years!
The girls add their baby ornaments...
This year the girls get to have a tree of their very own in their rooms. I think they are of the Wal Martious specie, but I'm not sure...
Even Lulu got in on some decorating action. Hopefully she doesn't take it upon herself to undecorate in the days to come...
Now that the house is all festive we are ready for Nana and Papa to arrive so we can have an early Christmas. Early Christmas equals early presents...Mama likes!
