Slowly Back Away from the Scissors...

This morning I realized that Annika's hair was looking long. Maybe it was in comparison to Lena's or maybe it was the mere fact that she hadn't washed it in 3 days. Nevertheless, I got out my trusty scissors, set up a stool in the bathtub, and got to work. The end result turned out quite well (if I do say so myself) and now it has me wondering why I shelled out $15 on Lena's haircut (that could have payed for 5 lattes at the neighboring Starbucks...darn it). I also got my hair cut a couple of days ago so all 3 Lovett girls are sporting little ear length bobs...yes, it is as cute as it sounds!!!

Showing off her new hair cut and "my loose tooth"...
On a side note...Thursday night I went to grab Jason's workout shirt out of the dryer 2 minutes before we were suppose to be out the door to the gym. It had some weird blue stuff on it and as I pawed through the load of various clothing (including everyone's in the house) I noticed blue stuff ALL OVER every article of cloth. What to my wondering eyes do I see? The tiniest remnant of a navy blue crayon!!! You might guess my reaction. If you guessed calm and collected...errrrrr...wrong! The girls even started crying when they saw the blue all over their favorite pieces...which in hindsight I feel a little bad about, but then again, I wasn't the one who was coloring that day. Anyhoo...I quick jumped on the computer and got the ingredients for a magic potion. That evening I played mad scientist and added laundry detergent, Zout, OxyClean, Borax, and white vinegar to the clothes...let them soak...washed them again...and ALAKAZAM...the stains are gone. Granted there is a trace here and there on the more saturated pieces (and mostly on the 30 year old dress my parents brought back for me from Mexico...go figure), but I am amazed!!! And on that happy ending...have a great weekend!!!
