Our Random Week...

Yes I know...the week isn't technically over, but I am ready for the weekend so I am speeding things up a bit. We haven't really done much of anything this week so the following pictures are just some random shots. After this weekend, though, be ready for an onslaught of Annika. Our little one is turning 5 on Monday and she has some festivities planned. I am gearing up for the making and decorating of not one, not two, not even three, but four different birthday sweet treats. I am presently channeling my inner Martha Stewart (stint in prison not included)!! Plus Nana arrives on Saturday...whoot whoot!!!

Easter morning egg hunt. The weather was rainy so the bunny hid the loot inside. He did, however, leave a 26 clue scavenger hunt which led to a box of Bendaroos (you know the waxy craft sticks seen one too many times on that ever so annoying infomercial). There was an actual scream of joy heard when the box was unwrapped...
Classy Easter basket, huh? Next year I vow to sew something more fitting for the season...
Our nontraditional Easter feast of homemade pizza...bunny shaped pizza at that...
One night after reading the children's version of "Three Cups of Tea" (if you don't know about this worthwhile organization and it's founder Greg Mortenson please check out www.ikat.org) we had a long discussion about the children of Pakistan, their customs, and how their lives are different from ours. Annika decided that she wanted to wear the clothing of Pakistan the next day. She even came down when she was suppose to be sleeping to discuss what else she might wear to look like the children in the book. That girl has passion...
Here are our other "pets" Jack and Peter. They have been coming back each spring and summer for the past couple of years. They snack on our backyard grasses all day long in plain sight...sometimes even when Lobo is on the back deck. Apparently they think that just because he is deaf, he must also be blind and his sniffer doesn't work. But to their credit...the dogs haven't discovered them yet so maybe they are smarter than I think...
And that is a wrap on our exciting week. See ya after the bakefest and parties!
