Beauty Sleep...

This year I am chairing Lena and Annika's school auction. It is our biggest fundraiser of the year and a lot of work. I have had some wonderful wonderful (I cannot stress the word wonderful enough) volunteers and Friday night (that is Friday March 12th if want to come...the party starts at 6pm!) is going to be a fun time. Last year we raised over $33,000. That's not chump change my friend.

It has been a fun experience being the "head honcho" on the whole shabang. Fun, but a lot of work. The last month I have found myself working auction pretty much the majority of my day. And let me tell you...there is a reason I have chosen to be "retired". Work is hard and time consuming and tiring! It fills my head with all kinds of stuff and pushes the celebrity gossip right out of the scene. Taxing I tell you. Taxing!

I think Lena has the right idea for a eliminating the taxing day. At least she has the right gear and as we all know, having the right gear counts for at least 50% of the importance...
