Live from Hawaii...

I know we are on spring break, but who wants a little school lesson? Don't everyone's hands shoot up at once now. Below you will find the Hawaiian words for some of our English words. They might come in handy if ever you find yourself in the Land of Awesome. Now pay attention...there will be a quiz at the end.

Keikis = Children
Kahakai = Beach
He'e Nalu = Surf
Makuahine = Mother, Makuakane = Father
'Ono = Delicious (Mama likes the Mai Tai.)
Kumu Nui = Coconut Tree
'Ohana = Family
Malihini = Tourist (Annika is a fanny pack away from a cruise ship.)
Makai = Oceanside (Dinner in this case.)
(Strolls in this case.)
Pua = Flower
Kanaka Maoli = Native Hawaiian
A hui hou kako u! = Until we meet again! (Class dismissed.)
