Yesterday was a day of firsts all around in this here family. Lena and Annika started their first day of school at their brand new school. Mommy started her first day of school with a bunch of brand new Mommies. Jason started his first day of work in a brand new office.
Lena's report after the first day: Good...made three new friends...super nice teacher...feeling good about the new year!
Annika's report after the first day: Great...made two new friends, one of which lives one block from our house...get to sit next to Jack in class...super nice teacher...when asked by another little girl if she would be her friend she replied "I'll be friends with anyone!"
Mommy's report after the first day: Thankful to have Laura to introduce her to all the new ladies around the school...looking forward to getting to know the neighborhood and getting settled in our house (we get the keys next Monday)!
Daddy's report after the first day: Loves the shorter commute...the new changes will be good...there is a brewery across the street from the office!
Over the weekend Lena was feeling a little blue about moving and all the changes. I told her that everything that she is feeling she isn't feeling alone because our entire family has the exact same feelings...nervous, excited, anxious, curious, sad, happy...we are all in the same boat and there is no other family I would rather be in that boat with!
Last night Jason said to me, "I think we are going to have a good life here." I replied back, "I
know we are going to have a good life here!" Here's to the good life!!!
