Saying Goodbye...

As we drive south today headed to our next phase of life (sniff), we sadly say "see you later" to all the friends who have become family over the past 12 years (sniff sniff).  I have to say the ONLY good thing about leaving everyone behind was the excuse to have party after party after party.  When I first told my friends we were going they asked, "Do you want a party?"  My answer was, "Heck yea!"  So we had a kid party, a family party, an adult party (that lead to a dance party), an impromptu bbq party, a girls' afternoon party, a last book club party.  It seemed like anytime was a good time to have a party and say goodbye.  One husband even jokingly commented, "How many times are you going to say goodbye to Stacey?"  As many times as it takes, Brandon, as many times as takes!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



A little word on the necklace below.  My best girlies in the picture above pitched in and gave me a beautiful necklace that says "friends".  Hanging with the words are two little blue beads.  Each lady also has two  identical little blue beads that they have added to a necklace of their own.  So every time we wear our necklaces we will think of each other and all the laughter, support, and friendship we have shown each other over the past however many years.  I haven't taken it off once all week!
