Holy Bathroom Batman...

Da da da baba da da. That was me doing the happy dance. I am doing the happy dance because we are D-O-N-E done with our bathroom remodel. It only took a short 10 months and 12 days, but we rocked it out. We do need to slap up three little pieces of molding and paint the door, but for all intents and purposes I am going to call it finalized! Now please indulge me while I show you the step by step of the process. I know there are a lot of picture, but hey...I had to trudge 15 extra steps to use the girls' bathroom for 10 months so I deserve it! And away we go...
The shower before. Well not really before. We didn't used to shower in insulation. I guess I should say the shower after it got ripped out but before it got beautified. Just imagine a plain white shower with plain white tile and some not so plain white mold and mildew...
During...
Which paint color should we choose. Decisions, decisions...

After...
Sinks and vanities before...
During...
Annika was Jason apprentice plumber today...
After...
Toilet area during. I am sure you can imagine what it looked like before. It was quite standard really. The floor was a white marble with a grey swirl...
After...
Bathtub before. Again, after it was ripped out. Before it was ripped out it was a big old oval soaker, but not the cool kind with jets or anything...
During...
After...
Looks like the sink works...
As does Mama's Make-Up Station...
Of course we couldn't (and didn't) do this alone. I'd like to thank Andrew our fabulously talented (not to mention interesting and kind) tile guy for the shower and the floor.  I'd like to thank the shower door guys and the shower plumber guy and the one guy with the cute New Zealand accent.  I'd like to thank him just for talking.  I'd like to thank my dad and his way with the electricity and demo. I'd like to thank Jason for being such a master installer of sinks and vanities and mirrors and toilets and ripper outer of everything. I'd also like to thank myself for spending hours pouring over stores and Internet sites creating the "vision" and picking everything out.  And of course I have to thank the academy. Now I think I will go brush my teeth in my very own bathroom for the first time this year...sweet!!!
