The Love Affair Continues...

It is really no secret...we LOVE the Martinsons. We have loved them since the first time we met them in Bremerton, WA some 9 (I think) years ago. We loved them when they moved way away down south to Georgia. We loved them even more when they moved west to Portland. We love that they moved to a cool neighborhood close to everything cool and hip and therefore visiting them seems cool and hip. We love us some Martinsons!!!

This is Laura. Laura is like the older wiser sister I never had...

This is Mat. The combination of him and Jason is the epitome of cool and hip...

We love that Laura is a fantastic baker and made Jason a fantastic lemon birthday cake...

We love that they know a babysitter that is willing to take on four kids so the adults can go out to some cool hip eatery...

We love that in their neighborhood you can go to dessert at a restaurant called Papa Haydn and order a piece of this cake and after you eat the entire thing you will want to barf, but the good kind of barf...

We love that they have two kids, Ava and Jack, that our girls think are the cat's pajamas and we get to do cool hip things with them like riding the train...

And visiting the zoo...

And acting like eaglets...

And attacking a goat...

And experiencing the sights and sounds of the city...

We love that Jack turned 6 years old and we get to celebrate at Voodoo Doughnuts...

I've said it before and I'll say it again. We LOVE the Martinsons!!!

*side note* Portland's unofficial motto is: "Keep Portland Weird". Stay tuned for the blog post on how we experienced this "weirdness" first hand...on multiple occassions. It's a doozy!
