14 Layers...

A couple of weeks ago I found a fabulous looking cake that has 14...yep you read that right...14 layers. I thought it looked interesting and I would try my hand at it. From the store I bought 14 shiny disposable tin cake pans, all the ingredients for the massive amount of batter, and I was ready. It took most of the afternoon and looked quite impressive, but in the end it was just all right. I was expecting my first bite to elicit the "OH GOOD GRAVY THAT IS TOTALLY WORTH ALL THE EFFORT" response, but it sort of didn't. I guess I will just have to try some other creation...oh the sacrifices I make. I have to say I have been on a baking kick lately and instead of eating all the sweet treats I have been pawning them off on the school secretaries. They are starting to love me!
