Don't Blink Or Ya Might Miss It...

You may be asking, "What is this "IT" you speak of?" And I may just tell you, "IT is Annika growing up!". On Wednesday Annika graduated from preschool...hello kindergarten. On Thursday afternoon Annika told me that she wanted to take her training wheels off her bike. On Thursday evening she was riding sans trainers with Dad holding onto the bike...with a little dressing down here and there "Dad you made me crash! Dad stop aiming in the wall!" By Friday night she was whizzing around the neighborhood without Dad's trusty hand. She is so proud of herself you can almost see her bursting at the seams!!! What's next? Driving a car? Wait, I shouldn't even say that out loud...Annika just might be the tot to try it!

Class of 2009...
Future Valedictorian...or at least Most Spirited...
Happy grad and her happy parents. Annika is happy that she got a balloon and a flower. Mommy and Daddy are happy that they don't have to pay for school for at least another 12 years. Someone asked me if we were going to send her to full day kindergarten (which you have to pay $3,100 for) and I said, "Heck no. I am sick of waiting 3 months between hair coloring appointments!" She looked at me kind of funny. I quickly said, "Haha just joking?" Shhhh...I wasn't.
Hold on tight Daddy...I am a little wobbly...
Getting better...good thing because Daddy's back was starting to hurt and he was all sweaty...
Look Ma...no Daddy hands...
Riding with the big kids now...
Lena was sooo happy for Annika. The sisterly love was practically oozing from her pores. Which was good because yesterday I was ready to head for the hills or a really strong margarita...there was so much fighting going on. However, we ended the day on a positive note with lots of hugs and high fives. What more can you ask for? OK...maybe just one margarita.
