Finally Friday...

Please try to contain your jealousy of our awesomeness...it's unbecoming.
There is a funny story that goes along with this picture. Yes, even funnier than the picture itself. Jason and I were in Austin, TX and we decided to rent segway scooters because we wanted to not look like tourists. Segways are totally fun and cool (note I did not say cool looking). However, they are a little tricky to maneuver for a first timer. We received instructions inside the store and then we all zipped out the door to start our tour. When we came to our first street crossing the tour guide zipped across the street, the two other members of the tour zipped across the street, Jason zipped across the street, and I...well I did a little less zipping. As I entered the street (in front of cars waiting to enter the intersection...a very busy intersection) I had to go down a slight incline. You know those super steep wheelchair ramps? Yeah, they are like death drops. Anyway, as I "glide" into the intersection I realize I am going to fast and get scared so I lean back to slow myself down but do so too quickly and jerk backwards. Which in turn made me jerk forwards...and on and on this goes. I am not exaggerating when I say (and I know this is a family friendly blog, but there are no other description words that do it justice) I looked like I was dry humping a segway scooter in downtown Austin. It was awesome. Awesome I tell ya. Thank goodness Austin's motto is "Keep Austin Weird", because I was doing my part!
