Strawberry Fields Forever..
As I mentioned yesterday we headed north...or east...or maybe it was west. I really don't know. But I do know that we got in the car and we headed to Sequim, WA where the sun shines on most days and the strawberries grow big and fat. I hadn't ever been strawberry picking before so naturally I grabbed three of my biggest containers. When one uses their biggest containers they tend to fill them up...it is only natural, naturally. That means when all is said and done a family of four can pick 31.5 pounds of strawberries in about 20 minutes. As we were walking back to the weighing station Jason said, "I think we are going to have about $50 worth of berries here!" "Pishaw", I said. Low and behold...that husband of mine is one smart feller. Oh well...now we don't have to buy jam or frozen whole berries or pre-made strawberry shortcake topping for like a whole year! And they look pretty in my freezer...that's the most important part right?
