Our cat
Pansey has gone missing. It has been a week now. She went out one night...she loves the night life, she loves to party...and didn't come home. Despite our best efforts she hasn't returned and I am hoping that she is living the fat life at someone
else's house. Jason and I feel kind of sad because we liked
Pansey despite her scratchy antics. When I told the girls she was missing they both said,
"YES! Now we can get a hamster!" Are we raising some sympathetic young ladies or what? Much to their dismay we will not be getting a hamster, but we are going to try our hand at another kitten. I know, I know it may seems a little soon, but I am a cat person and I quite enjoy having a cat around. Plus, I just got a new cover for the footstool that doesn't have nary a claw mark on it and it just doesn't look right.
We'll miss you
Pansey/Pan-Z. If you do end up coming home please don't be offended that we have replaced you. I am sure you will think a new kitten is the cat's pajamas...

Now onto the newest addition to the
Lovett clan. Let me start off by saying that this will be our 4
th cat in 3 years. First there was Tipper (who was mine from the days of college, was old, and had to be put to sleep), then there was Bella (who was great and cute and black and had a bobbed tail and after we had her a year she went missing), then there was
Pansey (who you all know and all know what happened to her). We aren't quite sure why our cat's go missing. No one else in the
neighborhood loses their cats...maybe it is us and not them? Anyway...our next kitty is coming to us via the
internet. We met online and I am hoping that they are true to their word and aren't sending us a
picture of a much younger, thinner cat in hopes that we will fall head over heals in love with its personality and when we meet we won't notice that said cat is actually male, hairless, and resembles
Jaba the Hut.
Not sure which little rascal is ours, but I am pretty sure it will be the one that was able to do some damage on the heavy plastic baby gate handle. My what shiny teeth you have...

We aren't actually picking up our new little fluff ball until we get back from our trip to Maine. We have our priorities you know...fun before responsibility. We leave on Saturday for a week, but come Monday Oct 5
th we will be proud scratching posts of one black and white little lady. We will be taking name suggestions all week. Whoever wins gets bragging rights,
"Oh yeah, I named that cat! Can I get a what what? In your face losers!" Or, of course, you can say whatever you want.

How 'bout you name your next cat "Owl Food" or maybe "Left Wac" short for LFTWAC#4 (short for Lovett's feed the wild animals cat #4) or maybe Quatro? The girls ARE both going to be bilingual right? I had a run of lost kitties when I was small...and see what it did to me...I'm heartless...yes, I lost Morris, Tinkerbell and Cottonball (all white)then we got Squeakers and she stayed around for many years. Your welcome to any of those names!
