B to the O to the I S E...

The following are all the things we learned on our trip to Boise, Idaho.

Transporting wild animals across state lines is legal.
Eva is really cute. (everybody now) How cute is she? She is hell-a cute...
Miles is not only cute, but sweet and extremely verbal for his young age.
Whatchu talkin' about lady?
Cheeeeeeese...
The girls are quite smitten with baby Eva.
It was a week of lots of kisses, snuggles, and head pets...
I, too, am quite smitten with baby Eva.
Making new friends is good.
Seeing old friends is great.
Ashley has a very happy family.
Boise in July is H-O-T.
One must eat snow cones to cool down...
One must drive with no windows...or in Lena and Annika's case...not touch the car doors, not buckle their own seat belts, or not even get in the car until the air conditioner is blasting at full force...
One must eat a big ol' serving of frozen yogurt...
Topped with gummy worms...
Ice skating is C-O-O-L.
I know, huh! You totally thought it was Dorothy Hamill for a second. Nope, it's just me...
Lending a helping hand...
Ice princesses...
Vancouver 2010 here we come...
Zoo Boise is fun.
Here kitty, kitty, kitty...
Suckers for a carousel...
Now these guys know how to stay cool...
There he is, there he is...
Chillin' with the penguins...
Maybe I was missing Jason just a tad bit...
Like mother, like daughters...
Cooling off is more fun.
Awaiting the impending wall of water...
Splash down...
Ummmm...I don't know about this water thing...
Getting closer...
Those girls seem to be enjoying it...
Ooooo...I think I do like it...
A girls' night out is most fun of them all.
Ashley's big sis Erica...and an old friend of mine too...
Outdoor plays are awesome...
Wine and dessert is awesomer...
The downtown Boise Farmer's Market is a feast for the eyes and tummy. We had blueberry pie and crosaints for lunch and came home with tiny plums, fresh bread and homemade pasta sauce.
Patiently waiting on a balloon creation...
Seriously waiting on a balloon creation...
Showing off balloon creations. At this point the temps had reached almost 100 degrees. Note Annika's eye sheilding...
I can't think of a better way to cool off than a little dancing in the fountains...
Ahhhh...that feels good...
The Twilight Criterium is amazing and fast. The Twilight Criterium is a bike race held in downtown Boise. Riders come from all over the world to race the three blocks long, 1 block wide rectangular course. They race at crazily fast speeds in crazily tightnit packs going around crazily tight corners. Now that's just crazy-ly!

Here comes the pack...
It was really hot that day...like 104 degrees. It was still really hot at 8pm when all three of us entered the porta potty (that had been set up all day). That, my friends, is not something I want to relive in the near future. When we came out I not only had swoobs, swutt, and swees, but I had a mighty fine case of sworehead. Thankfully by the time this photo was taken it had cooled down a bit and I had washed away most of our porta potty experience with mass amounts of hand sanitizer...
Posing in the twilight...
I just might be a bad influence on Ashley's children.
But I am a really good influence on my own.
Lena and Annika are fantastic little travelers. It is such a joy to travel with them that I can't wait for our next trip which is in about a month. Are ya ready for us Maine?
Airport shuttle cuddles...
The trip to the airport is wee bit long and a wee bit boring...
Lena is always keeping an eye on that whily sister of hers...
Lily and Bisquit, Curly and Sparkles (the official souveniers of Boise 2009) enjoying their first plane ride...
Thanks for a super fabulouso time Ashley, Mike, Miles and Eva. I can't wait for our next encounter!

It was really fun to meet you and Hadley loved playing with the girls, too. It looks like the rest of your trip was pretty awesome!

Why didn't they have one of those metal hand-hold thing-ys when WE (Megan, you and I) went ice skating a while back...my back still hurts from hunching over like a 105 year old little old lady...so I would kill myself...or rather any unsuspecting children in my path!????
