We are back from our vacation in that little piece of paradise we like to call Montana. I am reporting on this trip in four easy
installments (of $19.99) so you won't be overwhelmed by the amount of photos (or fun). Here we go...
The girls are decked out in their finest ready for the final leg that will lead them to Nana and Papa.

The official Horse and Cow Camp backpack stuffed full of all sorts of road
trippin' goodies.

Is that the big sky I keep hearing about or is it the wide open spaces?

We're there! The grouping of trees hides Nana and Papa's house and all the other buildings are various
farmy/
ranchy structures.

Well hello Doc. It has been a long 6 months. Oh how we have missed you.

This girl is so horse crazy she doesn't even wait for the saddle.

The official uniform for the Nana and Papa Horse and Cow Camp.

And by official, I mean official. Lena would have to get her shirt on each time she went out to be with the horses.

Real cowgirls where hats. Better get that hat on girl.

Sisterly support in action. Lena is VERY comfortable around the horses (Doc in particular). She is more than willing to lead him, feed him, ride him, and love him.

Lena doesn't need any of that pesky adult help when riding Doc.

And away she goes...

And goes...

And goes...

Here she expertly
sidles up to Great
Gramma Joyce's bedroom window to show off her
horsewomanship prowess.

Jason and I decided to take advantage of the lonely roads. We rode our bikes a little over 20 miles only seeing a handful of cars. Another great thing about riding in central Montana is that it is really windy there. Which isn't a good thing if you are going west, but we were headed east and it was sweet!!!

The long and (not so) winding road...with a little splash of Rocky Mountains thrown in for good measure.

The perfect way to cool down after a long day of horsing. Even though it looks like Nana gave Lena a big
ol' shove, she really didn't.

Teamwork with cousin
Aundra...

Speaking of cousin
Aundra...she is quite possibly the cutest baby on the
east side of the Rockies. Here she is with her equally cute mama Kirsten...

Now indulge me for a minute in some more cuteness...

Oh I can barely stand it...

Oh, there she goes again!
Aundra loved
Lobo and
Lobo dutifully put up with
Aundra. Case in point...at one point in the evening
Aundra dropped a full grown cat on sleeping
Lobo's back.
Lobo did not complain in the slightest (I can't say how the cat felt since I wasn't able to talk to her after she ran like a rocket ship around the side of the house and I didn't see her for two days).

Many hands (and many generations) makes light work.

Great
Gramma Joyce and her three little helpers making her yard look beauty-
ful (as
Annika would say).
