Girls Just Wanna Have Fun...

Last week we learned that one of Lena's little school friends, Emily, would be moving to Tennessee with her family. Since we are going on vacation next week Lena would be missing her birthday/going away party. We decided to invite Emily over for a good old fashioned slumber party. Let the fun ensue!

A meal fit for a queen...or at least three little princesses...
Three peas in a pod...
We thought it would be fun to make matching skirts so every time Emily wore it she would remember Lena. Lena picked out the horse fabric because during the school year Lena, Emily and their friends would play horses at recesses.
Since both girls would be missing each other's birthday parties, we held an early birthday celebration...
Make a wish...
Who wants cake? I do, I do...
Dance like you mean it girls...
They like to move it, move it...
Now that the slumber party dust has settled we get to deal with not only the fun memories of last night, but also the ball of emotions, tired eyes, and cranky sisters. Oh, well, we had fun while it lasted!!!
And now onto newer business. On Tuesday we are off like a rocket ship (or maybe more like an airplane) to Boise, ID for a week to visit Ashley, Mike, Miles, and this little doodle bug...
Oh, Eva Capri, I can hardly wait to hold you and snuggle you and stare at you and rock you and promptly give you back to mama when you start rooting around for some dinner. This milk factory, my friend, is closed! See y'all when we get back. Stay cool cause we won't be. Boise in July...le pant le pant...Annika will be sooooo pleased!
